Dear Archive Visitor,
Happy Thanksgiving!
What a concept - a national day of Thanksgiving. This is one of the greatest things about America, if you ask me. It truly is a blessing to have a day set aside solely for giving thanks.
I'm keeping this week's ezine quite brief because I know you want to spend your holiday having fun with family and friends. In today's article I'll talk about an insight I had years ago that opened my eyes to a whole new way to attract prospects with a simple yet profound change of perspective.

The One Thing You Do Get For Nothing
By Tammy Stanley
A number of years ago I participated in a fascinating study group with only a few other people. The most powerful topic for me was one on vanity.
For most of my life I thought of vanity as excessive pride in one's appearance or abilities. While in this study group, however, I examined some more unusual concepts of vanity, one of which was martyrdom.
Before being in this study group, I never realized how frequently I played the role of a martyr. How? With one seemingly innocuous thought - "I have to make a living." Notice I said, "seemingly," innocuous because it's anything but. That thought is uttered by millions of people everyday.
When you say it out loud or even silently to yourself, "I have to make a living," you can feel the heaviness of it, the weight of it, the suffering.
Now, I never thought of myself as a vain individual, but after being in that study group my definition of vanity changed. It included excessive ideas of responsibility and the failure to recognize the greatest gift -- LIFE.
We don't create the cells that comprise our body. We don't have to do or make anything to be alive, which is proof positive that there actually is something magnificent we all get for nothing -- LIFE.
Consider this week that you don't have to make a living, but because you have the gift of Life, you have the great privilege to earn money and make a living. Exchanging the thought of "I have to make a living" to "I get to make a living" shifts you from martyrdom to comfort, from vanity to freedom.
When you let go the vanity that claims, "I alone have to do everything for myself," you discover that you don't. But that's not all. You begin to see how receptive the world and your prospects are to someone who appreciates "getting" to make a living as opposed to someone who suffers "having" to make one.
