Where do I begin to tell you how much I learned on this call!  And a bit of it was really pretty basic, sadly, things I've not been doing!I LOVED to hear that you can call anyone, no matter how far back, and give your quick offer, and if they are an absolute no, you can let them know you just wanted to include them and wish them a happy new year and thank them for their business.  Not rocket science, but when I hear the no," I freeze up and say something stupid!  I had already planned to call my Jan hostesses on New Year's Day, knowing they're off work, but now when I am done with this e-mail, I am going to make my list of 10 I barely know, at least 10, and be ready to get on that phone on New Year's Day!!  That's also one of my top 3 goals for 2010, customer care calls and better relationships with customers/hostesses/team.  It really got my attention how you switched reps with one co. because you didn't feel valued, never got a call after the sale was closed!And really listening to the prospect.  I am one guilty of too much enthusiasm!  I need to take it down a few notches, again, putting myself in their shoes!  Thank you so much, Tammy!

After listening to your teleconference on Dec 30th, I was ready to tackle the New Year armed with answers to my customers resistance to hosting a Silpada Designs show after the holidays!During a show, I ask all my customers if they would like to be a hostess & if they say no", I let them know it's no big deal.  However, when I'm on the phone it's another story.  Because I'm more comfortable in a face to face setting, I get all nervous and stumble.  Most likely making my customers nervous too!  An Ah-Ha moment for me was when you said it was important to let my customer feel it's okay to say no so she would want to pick up the phone next time I call. It makes perfect sense; you put it in such a way that I understood the importance of putting myself in my customers seat! Don't make her feel bad, talk to her, thank her for her business and move on!  When I call again, she'll hopefully want to pick up the phone!I'm anxious to get on the phone & try out these new techniques.  I have a feeling after the first few calls, I'll feel comfortable and adjust the script to my personal style.  It will be awesome to have a model, but feeling comfortable with what I'm offering and ending with a thank you will make it that much easier!And another thing...... getting my offer out right away..... BRILLIANT!!  Thank you Tammy!  No more small talk, they know why I'm calling!   I'll leave the small talk and thank you's for the end of the conversation.  That makes perfect sense, I love it!I was so happy to have invested a mere $27 in training that was worth so much more!!  I will be checking out your website on a regular basis Tammy!  I plan to take you up on that deal you offered us at the end of your call, I love your style!  I'm so glad Mary-Beth offered this training to our team!  I'm even happier that I was smart enough to sign up!!I'll look forward to my scripts and replay of the call!Happy New Year.

I first heard about your teleclass from a consultant on my team who was at your training at National Conference in July.She forwarded me your email and asked if I thought that the class would be worth $27. I looked over the email and said I thought it sounded Very Good and I signed up myself.I have worked with many trainers and I do have an upline director who takes the time to coach me.I have to say that I was super impressed with the material and the words you use. I can identify more with that language. It is more 'me'. But the company and many other trainers have taught me to use a different language which I needed to tweek to feel like it was mine! I am using your script today and have been using it since the teleclass and I am so excited that I can't wait to get on the phone!I am using January to really beef up my business and I am offering a great promotion ( as you talked about) and of course, it is time sensitive! I will only do this in January and I feel that if I offer something so wonderful in January I will have so many bookings that I will have no trouble filling Feb, Mar, etc!Thank you for your time. Thank you. I got off the phone from teleconference & went in my office and started placing calls. I used your just get to the point reason for calling & when I did get a person to pick up it went better. Not a first my first two calls I stumbled some but as I called it got better. One lead gave me her personal # and asked that I call her on the 4th, Monday. Another had just received her info and asked that I call her back 2 weeks from Thursday so she could get over the holidays and read the packet, so that one was my stumble. I am meeting a gal on the 13th to talk about the business and am going to a network for women in direct selling business. I left lot's of messages, no return calls yet, but it is a holiday. I did not get any bookings but I did better in my calls. I will write out something today that I am comfortable with and practice. I bought your cd on how to leave messages that get customers & prospects to call you back, so that is the first thing on my today list. I did get a lead from Silpada yesterday and really did not want to bother her on New Years Eve but I did leave her a phone message. That is where I stumble not knowing when it is ok to make that call. I am excited to get the year going. I am 58 have never been out of work and now have been for 12 months not able to find work, so I really need to find my confidence and start using it. I am so sorry we have so many impatient folks out there & can't wait for you to get this out to them. I wish you and your girls a very Happy New Year. Again thank you for the training you offer. Great call Tammy!  You once again did not disappoint.  I attended your 'Get Results Now' training last year in Columbus and new you had an approach that seemed to "work" for me.  Your thinking of the customers perspective first and 'don't be so darn perky' approach works for me.  Otherwise 'too enthusiastic' makes me feel fake and I strive to be not only ethical in what I do but also authentic in my approach.  The part of the call I found most useful is the order of items to talk about when making booking calls.  I always felt like I was beating around the bush with small talk trying to get my customers to remember exactly who I was or chit chat about a recent order, holiday, weekend activity etc.  Now I will get to the point of why I made the call, then make the 'small talk' after the business  is discussed.  It seems this will express not only am I a business woman who can get to the point, but also that I truly mean it when I say I appreciate their business b/c I will be keeping them on the phone for and extra minute to say it with feeling.  Thanks again and happy New Year!

I was one of your later registrants and was on the call last evening. I was in sales for 15 years with the Xerox Corporation and learned from the professionals. However, nothing but experience can prepare you for the tough world of cold calling and telephonic's.  I remember actually crying after a brutal phone call with a man who told me all sorts of negative things about the company. I was 22 and am now 50. I did become very successful at Xerox but not really because of the cold calling. I was able to get a cushy major accounts position and  I was used to doing Customer Care calls and solving customer problems. But, that cold calling was always my nemesis.In the interim, I have been running a drapery work room to the trade and have done well. However, a while back I went to a home party for Private Quarters and decided their bedding line would be a perfect match for my clientele and, thus, became a consultant. I did very well these first few months.  I believe the reason for this is that it was new and I have lots of contacts. I have only picked up the phone once or twice to actually thank people for their orders, let alone ask for bookings.However, I did send a number of emails. You have made me realize that this is not the approach that is going to work. When I saw the suggestion via email to sign up for your Tele-Seminar  a few weeks ago, I was intrigued and meant to sign up but did not. It wasn't until Elizabeth Anthony Gronert mentioned it again on a phone call and stressed the benefit of partaking in this call, that I actually signed up. Well, I am so happy that I did! These are the things I liked: 1) your approach was not pushy 2) You didn't talk about how perfect you were. You related to the audience by briefly sharing your own struggles which makes you human 3) You said it was simple-but not easy which is the truth! 4) You inspired people to succeed with a non-traditional direct sales approach, and 5) You gave us a challenge that was realistic. My $27 was well spent and I look forward to perusing your web site to see some of your other offerings.
